Belt Alley has been an interesting addition to downtown Detroit. There's a few small bars to choose from, with a nice ambiance consisting of art and music. It's a nice pit stop if you're strolling through downtown, or if you're with friends enjoying The Young Mile. During the weekends, people pack into the alley for drinks and fun.
What I did not know is that they do a series of concerts. The series is called Live & Raw, and showcases local artists. It's put on by Fanic Music, which is also located in the alley, in association with Sound and Silence. The artists perform at The Skip, in the bar's outdoor area. The location is great for music. The shade makes it a great spot to have a seat. And there's beer!
Their 7/30 edition featured MotorKam, Rufio Jones, and Ancient Language. Take a look below for a bit of each artist's music. You can visit Fanic Music's page (linked above) for more information on each of them, as well as future event dates.
