PlayStation VR is the best in new video game technology. With a face-covering headset and headphones, it fully immerses you in another world of your choice. Everything is displayed on the TV, too, so friends can see your experience in real time. You can use a standard DualShock 4 controller, but it works best with the PlayStation Move.
I got a chance to play for quite a bit the other day, and I can surely say that it lives up to the hype. This thing is fun. We went through a few different game modes in PlayStation VR Worlds, which include a deep sea mission, a diamond heist in London, and a pretty cool street luge game. Here's a little bit of that:

Watching on the screen and having the headset on are two totally different experiences, in case you were wondering why it seemed so much more intense for Mike. I played the London Heist, which was especially intense because you are shooting (and being shot at) in a very realistic VR environment. The game uses the camera to allow you to move/crouch behind things. It feels so real that I found myself trying to lean on objects that were in the game, and I almost took a tumble in the process. No, I don't have that on video and I wouldn't show you if I did.
There are several games compatible with the PlayStation VR, including the recently released Resident Evil 7. We played that. Let's just say it wasn't for long, and I'm not doing that to myself or my heart ever again. There are also much less intense things to do like being Spider-Man or watching interactive music videos. I'd recommend those if you would like to maintain a normal heart rate.
PlayStation VR is amazing. VR gaming has taken video game interaction to the next level and I'm excited to see what games come next. If you're like me and can't exactly afford it, find a good friend or a nearby Best Buy with it as soon as you can. When you do, the only other advice I have for you is to be careful. It's very easy to forget about your real world surroundings when you're unable to see and hear them.
